I have been practicing law for over 25 years.   I have worked in various areas of the law.  My experience as a prosecutor in Illinois taught me how to be tough, strive for justice and quickly evaluate situations and cases.  While I was a prosecutor I worked on a variety of criminal matters including domestic violence.  My experience included appeals and arguing cases to the Illinois Supreme Court.  As a lawyer I also have a strong passion for helping children through legal issues.  I honed that passion when I served as the lead prosecutor in Kane County’ for the abuse and neglect cases.

Over the last decade I have worked in family law on a variety of cases.  I am in court frequently.   I appreciate the importance of maintaining a  good attorney-client relationship.  Emotions can run high and it’s my job to help my clients exercise good judgment to make the right decisions.  If you’re reading this now you are likely going through or considering a divorce so you know that divorces can be very stressful.  All the more reason you want an attorney with a lot of experience on your side.  I have experience in the areas of divorce, custody, child support, alimony,  domestic assault, division of asset and debts, and valuation of businesses. I have also handled numerous appeals and am dedicated to ensuring we put your best foot forward.

When I am not working to help clients through difficult times, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three grown daughters of whom I am very proud. My husband and I enjoy exploring Iowa and traveling to see our children.
